1. Alarm Photo-Detection Sensors
Villa Habana is equipped with photo-detection sensors connected to the property's alarm and safety system.
These devices may capture still images when the alarm system is triggered for verification purposes. They do not provide continuous video surveillance.
Some photo-detection sensors are located in exterior areas of the property. A sensor is also located in the living room and another inside a private storage area.
The visible photo-detection sensor in the living room is normally kept physically closed during guest stays.
2. Fire and Alarm Response
If a smoke, fire or other safety alarm is activated, guests must respond promptly and cooperate with the procedures necessary to verify and resolve the alarm.
Guests must answer telephone calls or other communications relating to an active alarm and, when requested, respond through the property's alarm panel.
Guests must also contact Villa Habana as soon as reasonably possible when an alarm is activated and follow any reasonable safety instructions provided by the alarm service or emergency services.
3. Safety Devices Must Not Be Tampered With
Guests must not disable, cover, disconnect, remove batteries from, tamper with or otherwise interfere with any smoke detector, fire detector, alarm sensor or other safety device at the property.
Any malfunction or unexpected activation of a safety device should be reported to Villa Habana rather than attempting to disable or modify the device.
4. Smoke Detection
Smoke detection equipment is installed throughout the property as part of Villa Habana's fire-safety measures.
5. Carbon Monoxide Detection
Carbon monoxide detection equipment is installed at the property.
6. Fire Extinguishers
Fire extinguishers are available at Villa Habana. Guests should familiarise themselves with their location on arrival and use them only when necessary and safe to do so.
7. Swimming Pool & Integrated Spa
Villa Habana has a private swimming pool with an integrated spa area and hydrotherapy jets.
The swimming pool and integrated spa are unsupervised. Guests use these facilities at their own risk and are responsible for following the safety information and instructions provided.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times when in or around the swimming pool and integrated spa.
The supervision and safety of children using or approaching the pool is the responsibility of their parents, guardians or responsible accompanying adults.
Guests should avoid running, unsafe diving or any behaviour that could create a risk of injury in or around the pool area.
8. Pool Safety Fence
A removable safety fence for the swimming pool is available on request.
Guests travelling with young children may request installation of the pool safety fence before arrival. We strongly recommend making this request in advance so that the property can be prepared accordingly.
The presence of a safety fence does not replace the requirement for responsible adult supervision of children around the swimming pool.
9. Stairs
The property includes stairs. Guests should take appropriate care, particularly when travelling with young children or anyone with reduced mobility.
10. Children
Families with children are welcome at Villa Habana, and baby cots are available.
Parents, guardians and responsible accompanying adults remain responsible for the supervision of children throughout the property, particularly around the swimming pool, stairs and outdoor areas.
11. Emergencies
In an emergency, guests should contact the appropriate local emergency services and follow any safety instructions provided at the property.
12. Responsibility and Applicable Law
Guests are responsible for using the property's facilities safely and for complying with the safety requirements described on this page and in the House Rules.
